Skills Development Camp August 19 - 23, 2019 TransAlta TriLiesure Center - Spruce Grove, AB


Program: Maximum 30 registered skaters per group with a maximum 6:1 skater to instructor ratio. Registration includes camp jersey, 2.5 full hours of daily on ice instruction consisting of 2-3 head instructors and 3 junior instructors; 1 hour of daily dry-land training focusing on skill development and conditioning activities; daily nutritious snack; supervised, safe and positive environment. A bagged lunch is required or a healthy lunch program for the week is available for all participants to purchase.

Atom/Peewee 2009-2007

10:00am - 3:30pm



 Morning Ice Session Focus:
Explosive starts and acceleration, speed, stride efficiency, agility, power, edge control, stopping, cross-overs, speed with puck, and driving the net

Dry Land Focus:
Conditioning, Strength, Speed, and Agility

Afternoon Ice Session Focus:
Puck control and movement, passing, shooting including wrist shot, slap shot, one-timers, back-hand, redirection and deflection, quick release and accuracy
